On Saturday October 3rd, several Rotaractors joined the Manhattan Rotary Club at Ogden Elementary school to improve the landscape around the school.
Rotaractor Erin Ridder wrote a reflection on the project and we are pleased to share it! She is a sophomore majoring in Family Studies & Human Services while minoring in Biology and Spanish.
This past weekend Kansas State University students and residents helped out the local elementary school. Current college students from the organization Rotaract Club took a few hours out of their busy schedules to come help out. Some TLC was needed for this elementary school, and everyone came together to help pull weeds, put new mulch in, rake leaves and much more. For a while now, one teacher has been putting in countless hours of his free time towards this cause. Only a few hours into this project with numerous hands and feet, the job was finished. After all was said and done the place looked gorgeous and the teachers couldn’t be more thankful. It was a great way to start our Saturday morning, thanks Ogden Elementary School for having us.
