Have you ever spent a night in a cardboard box? We certainly hope not! Unfortunately, hundreds of thousands of homeless people throughout the US and millions around the world spend every night out on the streets, often without access to a bed or even adequate shelter.

Join KSU Rotaract Club and help us raise awareness for homelessness within the Manhattan community and abroad. The task is simple: all you have to do is sleep in a box!

Box City is a fundraising event hosted by our club to collect money for the Manhattan Emergency Shelter and Charity Water. Gather a group of four friends or simply bring yourself! Setup starts at 8pm in the Quad on the K-State campus (located just behind Willard Hall). The event will last from 7pm Friday to 8am Saturday. We will have several guest speakers and possibly an open mic afterwards so if you play an instrument or like to sing, come prepared!

We ask that each participant raise and donate at least $25 per person to the cause. You may register as a team up to 5 people and donate a minimum of $20 per person. We will also lower the minimum donation by $5 if you bring at least 5 cans to donate to the Flint Hills Breadbasket upon registration.
