Overview

Have you ever spent a night in a cardboard box? We certainly hope not! Unfortunately, hundreds of thousands of homeless people throughout the US and millions around the world spend every night out on the streets, often without access to a bed or even adequate shelter.

KSU Rotaract Club will be partnering with UPC to help raise awareness for homelessness within the Manhattan community and abroad. The task is simple: all you have to do is sleep in a box!

Box City is a fundraising event hosted by our club to collect money for the Manhattan Emergency Shelter and ShelterBox. Gather a group of friends or simply bring yourself! The event will be held on Friday, April 26th at 8 pm to Saturday, April 27th at 9 am. Setup starts at 8 pm in the Quad on the K-State campus. We will have a guest speaker, games, snacks, and much more!

We ask that each participant to donate $5 to the cause. If you cannot stay the entire night and would like to attend the presentations, no worries! We still ask for a $5 donation to the cause.

HOW TO SIGN UP?

Regardless of whether you are wanting to stay the entire night or just for the presentations, you must fill out and email BOTH forms to rotaractksu@gmail.com, then pay $5 through the event fee button below or cash/check day of the event. If you have any questions about this event please feel free to contact us.
