Rotaractors worked meticulously alongside the Manhattan Public library, stocking and arranging tables with hundreds of books. Valeria Rubio notes in her reflection “Volunteering at the Annual Library Book Sale reminded me of how reading an old styled book is good for the soul.” If the allure of a good book isn’t enough to get you to attend this annual event, then the prices sure will!
The library sale has the best deals in town with hardcover books for $1.50, paperbacks for 75 cents, DVDs and CDs for $2, audio-books for $4, and children’s books for 75 cents.
This event takes and resells donated books to raise money for great library programs such as guest speakers, children’s puppet shows, and summer reading programs.
